What if there was no adult supervision? What would happen? What would you do? Take a moment to think honestly, purposefully, realistically about these questions before impulsively jumping to answer. Consider the positives and negatives of what it might be like without adults for a prolonged, indefinite period of time. Think of the freedom, the power, the uncertainty, the fear. Do you believe it would actually play out as it does in Lord of the Flies, or do you have more faith in humankind than the novel portrays? Share what you think would happen in society, AND what you think you would do:
- initially, AND
- as time progresses.
